History & Background
Elite Tigers Academy was established in 2021 with the aim of bridging the gap between grassroots and professional clubs. Based in the Thurrock Borough of Grays, the academy offers inclusive opportunities for individuals of different backgrounds and skill levels to join our club and become part of the Elite Tigers family.
As an academy, our central focus is creating a culture of continuous improvement among players and staff members which is reflected in our motto of “Striving for Excellence”. This entails encouraging individuals to consistently aim for the highest standards of performance, skill development, and personal growth in their involvement in football.
Using the Four Corner model, our coaching approach is designed to customise training sessions according to the individual player’s needs, with the ultimate goal of enabling them to incorporate these skills into their game potentially attracting attention from scouts and securing a spot in a professional academy club. Our objectives extend beyond the development of football skills, as we strive to enhance a child’s social, academic, and personal growth. We also aim to provide opportunities for our players to compete against other academy teams, with the ultimate goal of securing contracts with professional clubs and reaching the game at a professional level.

As an academy, our ultimate goal is to strive for excellence in everything we do. To achieve this, we have established a set of core values and minimum expectations for all players regardless of age, gender, experience, ethnicity, or ability. These values and expectations are designed to foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and dedication, and to ensure that every player has a positive and rewarding experience with our club.

Our objectives
We aim to identify players we believe possess the essential skills and potential required to compete at the highest level of an academy and ultimately secure a contract with a professional club.
We aim to provide support and guidance to players who have been let down by the academy system. We aim to achieve this by offering personalised mentoring and one-on-one skill sessions, ensuring that these players receive the attention and development they deserve.
We also aim to capitalise on our networks and partnerships with professional clubs in order to identify talented players and provide them with opportunities for trials.
Lastly, we aim to provide a platform for individuals aged 16 and above who are passionate about pursuing a career in football to showcase their exceptional skills and gain professional representation. By granting them agency representation, we ensure that their talents are acknowledged, and they have the opportunity to be noticed by professional clubs, ultimately leading to potential career in the beautiful game.
